Acton Academy Albuquerque is a learner-driven micro-school serving children from elementary through high school. Our mission is to empower young people to discover who they are, what they are called to do, and how they can change the world. We serve families seeking an alternative to traditional K–12 education—families who value independence, character development, and real-world learning. Our learners progress through mixed-age studios where they take ownership of their education through goal-setting, self-paced academic tools, collaborative projects, and hands-on “quests” connected to real life. Instead of grades and lectures, learners demonstrate mastery through exhibitions, portfolios, peer feedback, and reflection. Guides act as mentors and facilitators, creating an environment where learners are trusted with responsibility while being supported by clear expectations and strong community values. Our offerings include core academic skills, entrepreneurship, project-based learning, leadership development, and opportunities for real-world exploration through field experiences and community partnerships. Acton Academy Albuquerque is designed to cultivate capable, confident, and purpose-driven young people who are prepared not just for college or careers—but for life.
